That is a huge change on the outside and I also know the inside has completely changed as well...... 8)

Your controller can run up to 144 volts but you are running it on 48 volts correct?

I called around about 72 volt controllers and they told me they were only to be run on 72 volts but not on anything less. how can your 144 volt contrller run 48 volts when a 72 can't?

This high voltage stuff is getting more confusing all the time! :?

High Voltage

Postby Old Fart » Tue Nov 21, 2006 7:36 pm

Give Nate a hollar he can explain. He is building these controllers. Very nice but the price makes them out of my reach. You can run anywhere from 1 volt up to the 144 volts and it has a nice hum to it also.

No, they are not for the average golf car person...but if you want the best controller...then price isn't an issue...

...my golf car on simple 48v's out preforms higher voltages...

...they are NOT limited to any upgraded voltage changes...

...which the best part is...

... I can upgrade the voltage on my golf car...and never have to change the controller...

...this is where the high cost becomes mundane...

...because the controller will handle the higher voltage...

...IMHO...that saves me $$$...

...that is why I will have another DC Speed controller in my wife's car...

...money well spent...

...and it is simply AWESOME...

All I can say is it sure was a blast to help build the 120V Cart in my Garage. At the same time I was rebuilding my 48V cart that is also fast on 48V's and did every event except the poker run..... 8)

Wow all this information! I am guessing you guys are all friends did you all know each other from this golfcart event?

What happened to that motor?

What is hub spinning? Is it like tire spinning but has something to do with that sled?
