Nas-Cart Showcase

Postby kyle » Thu Apr 06, 2006 1:30 pm

Due to the overwhelming response to our “King of the Mountain Showcase” ™, we have decided to run another contest aimed at a slightly different audience. We are of course, located in the south, more specifically North Carolina, long known to be the birthplace and home of NASCAR ™. To kick off the 2006 Nascar Nextel Cup ™ season, we would like to honor the sport and its fans by hosting an online showcase of Nas-carts ™. We are using the term “Nas-carts” ™, to define a specific type of golf cart; those used by the loyal fans of NASCAR ™ , and customized to reflect their love of the sport and their favorite driver.

This includes, but not necessarily limited to, any vehicle/golf cart used to carry fans around the raceway, infield, and camp grounds associated with any NASCAR ™ track. We'll include some sample pictures below for guidelines. We are looking for pictures of golf cars used by the most die-hard fans that have spent the time and money transforming their cart into a vehicle worthy of their favorite driver, including number, sponsors, custom paint jobs, etc.

The contest will run for two full months and will wrap up around start of June , 2006 . By June 15 th we will select and announce the winner. The Nas-cart ™ contest winner will receive a $100 Gift Certificate redeemable on any purchase through Golf Car Catalog ™.

We bought our 1991 36v resistor coil Club Car for taking to Bristol where we spend a week every spring for the NASCAR race. Once there we began to see how folks were changing their carts to support their favorite driver. This was the birth of BRISTOL, as she is now called. It has been 4 years since the first time we started working on our cart and every year we add or change something on her. We have converted her to 48v’s and are now in the process of installing a controller with a high torque motor. And there are plenty of “toys” already installed on her!

Since my last pic I have installed a Plum Quick Bad Boy motor with a 1200 AMP DC SPEED controller. I cannot begin to explain the torque and have speeds in the 35 mph+ range.
And as you can tell, she isn't afraid of a little mud

Nas-Cart Showcase Winner

Postby kyle » Fri Jul 07, 2006 2:27 pm

We apologize for not getting the news letter out by the Fourth of July. We’ve been kind of swamped lately and are trying to catch up. The office staff has looked over all of the entries and the over all favorite is the customized 1991 Club Car “BRISTOL”. Congratulations to the forum user cerberus recipient of the $100 gift certificate.
