1982 G1 cylinder

Hey guys...............I need help. I just bought a 1982 G1 and the cylinder is in bad shape...don't think going the 1mm oversize piston will get the scoring out of the cylinder. The aftermarket replacement cylinder doesnt fit the 1982....it says the reed port doesn't bolt onto it. Has anyone made it work???? Can i just get a reed block from another year??? I am contemplating looking for someone to sleeve it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
